Bagelwich

Thursday, January 15, 2015
I enjoy a good bagelwich for lunch. I do not put too much on my bagelwich, just some salami, ham and cheese is fine for me. If you need more flavor or fiber you may want to add something green like lettuce, pickles or cucumber slices. Bagels are a nice alternative to the traditional sandwich. Here I have used the everything bagel. There are other flavors you may want to try such as onion or plain.

Remember To Romance Your Love

Tuesday, January 13, 2015
It is not always enough just to be in a relationship. A relationship is like a muscle. Work it and it will strengthen. Give it no work and it will weaken. There are many ways to work on a relationship. Being a good listener does not always come natural but it is a start. Listen , really listen to what your mate is saying when you are having a conversation. Being in the present moment is important since people can sense when you are not really interested or listening to what they are saying. If you feel distracted at home get out and wine and dine your mate. Think of a romantic place where you can set the mood. Once again practice your listening skills and be present. Dress for the occasion because any quality time that you spend with your mate is worth the effort. The rule of thumb with matching chocolates with wine is, the more intense the chocolate, the more intense the wine should be. The more mellow the chocolate the more mellow the wine should be. The flavors balance each other out. Does this remind you of something? A relationship is also like wine and chocolate. The more intense you are the more intense your relationship will be. The more mellow you are the more mellow your relationship will be. Life truly is a celebration. Break out the chocolates and wine and be in the moment!

My New Part Time Job And Healthy Outlook On Life

Well its a new year and my new year resolution is to save money to invest in something. Just what that is I am not quite sure. I got a part time job as a cashier in a grocery store. The job does not pay much but with time I will reach my goal. Today was such a busy day the time just flew by.
Working in retail is very busy and takes a lot of energy, I am getting used to being micromanaged which was something I never thought I would have to deal with again. I guess it just comes with the territory.
Otherwise the customers are friendly and patient with me. I do not know how long I will be at this job but they are willing to work with my schedule, which is a blessing. All in all I am very thankful to have this job. It takes up my free time and I have a goal to work towards. I think having a goal and a healthy past time are important to maintaining a healthy outlook on life.

Phone Apps I Like

Wednesday, January 7, 2015
I recently discovered a couple of apps, for smart phones, to make my simple life a little more simple. Shopular is a sale app. It lists stores sales, weekly ads, and website links. It is very handy when trying to find the best deals. I enjoy sharing the sales on facebook and twitter from their websites. I don't know why but helping people spend money is almost as fun as spending it myself...almost.
The other app I enjoy is yummly. Yummly is a app that has food recipes. I find it convenient for finding something new to make, and while I am at the grocery store I just buy the ingredients. I try to stick to the healthier recipes but some of the pictures on the desserts look sooo good.
What are some apps that you like?

Fall/Winter Decor Simple & Inexpensive

Monday, November 10, 2014
Simple seems best for fall and winter decor. Here I have chosen long stems of grass, some of them dyed for a splash of color. They are great for accents to drab neutral colored walls. These are inexpensive and can be found at dollar stores.
